about

Originally released in 1986 as the soundtrack for Earth Mysteries author Sig Lonegren's Sacred Space audio visual lecture on Labyrinths and Sacred Spaces.
Here is the introductory piece Sig wrote and is in included with the cassette:

SACRED SPACE
From the Ring of Brodgar in the Orkney Islands north of Scotland, through Newgrange, the spectacular chambered mound in Ireland, and the megalithic masterpieces of Avebury and Stonehenge in southern England to the majesty of Machu Picchu in the Peruvian Andes, the Mayan ruins of Chichen Itza and the enigmatic underground stone chambers of New England in the United States, ancient peoples around the world oriented their sacred enclosures towards the Sun, Moon and other heavenly bodies. They located their holy places over centers of power where the underground yin forces of the Earth Mother come together with the yang forces of the Solar Father. In order to enhance these forces for spiritual purposes, they constructed their temples using certain repeated ratios, sacred geometry. This helped the participants to better resonate with the spiritual energies that were further concentrated on certain days of the year, for example on the solstices or the equinoxes.
Music is another sacred enhancer. If the musical ratios, or Intervals, are right, the listener can better resonate within a sacred space. Michael Law takes us on a chromatic journey of the sacred spaces in the British Isles, and South and North America. Enjoy.
